2. Hosting and server logs

This website is hosted by Hostinger. When the site is accessed, the server processes technically necessary data (IP address, time, page accessed, browser). The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (secure operation of the website). The logs are deleted by the host after a short period.

3. Cookies, Google Tag Manager and Google Ads

We run ads via Google Ads and want to measure whether these ads lead to enquiries. For this purpose – only if you click “Accept” in the consent banner – we use the following services of Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland (“Google”):

• Google Tag Manager: loads and controls the measurement. The Tag Manager itself does not set cookies, but for technical reasons it transmits your IP address to Google.
• Google Ads conversion tracking: Google sets cookies (e.g. _gcl_aw, stored for up to 90 days) to recognise that you reached our website via one of our ads. We count as a conversion the submission of the enquiry form as well as clicks on our phone number and on WhatsApp. We only receive aggregated statistics and cannot identify you personally.

Without your consent, neither the Tag Manager nor Google Ads is loaded and no cookies are set.

The legal basis is your consent under Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and, where information is stored on or read from your device, Section 25(1) of the German TDDDG. We store your choice for 12 months in your browser’s local storage so that the banner does not appear on every page. You can withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future via the “Cookie settings” link in the footer of every page.

Transfer to the USA: Google may transfer data to Google LLC in the USA. Google LLC is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, for which an adequacy decision of the European Commission exists (Art. 45 GDPR). More information: policies.google.com/privacy and business.safety.google/privacy.

Fonts continue to be loaded from our own server.

4. Enquiry form

If you use the form, we process your details (request, place of collection and destination, name, telephone number, for funeral homes the name of the firm, optionally email) solely to handle your enquiry. The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR) and steps prior to entering into a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). The enquiry is sent to us by email. To ensure no enquiry is lost, a backup copy is also stored on the server and automatically deleted after 90 days. You can withdraw your consent at any time using the contact details given in the Legal notice.

If you have consented to Google Ads (see section 3), after you submit the form we additionally transmit your phone number and – if provided – your email address to Google to make the measurement more accurate (“enhanced conversions”). This data is encrypted in your browser before transmission (SHA-256 hash), used only for matching with existing Google accounts and not stored for any other purpose. Without consent, no such transmission takes place. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR.

5. WhatsApp

The WhatsApp link only opens the chat. Data is only transmitted when you send a message yourself; WhatsApp's (Meta's) privacy policy then applies.

6. Phone and written messages

If you call or write to us, we process your details to handle your request and delete them as soon as they are no longer required and there are no statutory retention obligations.

7. Your rights

You have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection. You can lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority; in Cyprus, this is the Commissioner for Personal Data Protection.
